pdxsf day five and six

here's what camping looks like!

pdxsf day three

I somehow barely took any pictures in sf, and the ones I did take were shit. again, 86ing the canon after this, I'm just not in a place to learn how a new thing works. ol' reliable-ish mamiya just got a pay raise increase. ANYWAY. alex martin, one of the raddest ladies I know, took me on a whirl wind adventure where we: ate breakfast, texted in nature, drove a car, and ate at in-n-out, all while having deep conversation about life and love and sex and mental health. it was really one of the most beautiful days ever, and exactly how I wish every day of my life was. I wish I had brought some e-6, and my mamiya, cause her hair and her incredibly beautiful eyes were meant for it, and I also wish she lived near me, so we could replay days like this all the damn time.

also during this day, dean helped me get my tire fixed, I hung out with siesta dave, I caught up with veronica, and I went to the bar with all of the people above and more. zero documentation. too busy loving life?

macro

I think the only thing I really like about my new canon is the macro lens. so, when I 86 the canon from the group, I'll really miss that. maybe I can find one for my mamiya?

cincy thai food with kristen

the first time I really hung out with kristin, we were in an old van, smoking weed out of a pop can, cramming mopeders who had broken down in the back, and driving semi- dangerously around the ohio country side. I realized then that she was a really rad girl, and yet another of the cincy kids that I wish would just move to portland already. the last day of my trip she went with me out to thai food. it was pretty delectable, and good conversation, and no, I have no idea what she's doing in that second picture. dancing? yawning? also, she has pretty much the best apartment I've ever been in. frealz.

indian food with erin!

man, it was good. I can't remember which place this was, and there were twelve trillion indian food places in cincy, but it was real delectable, and a fine way to spend an evening.

burgerville featuring droni mitchell

so, the burgerville on hawthorne has shows now. I'm 99% sure it's just to bum out the squares, but who knows? the bright lights, the early start, the french fry smell... it's a weird experience that I highly recommend. also, the coffee milkshake with some snuck in booze is GREAT. also great is droni mitchell, and my friends who were there.

breakfast

mica and I went to jam on hawthorne. I am not super impressed. there's nothing really bad about it, but since portland is a breakfast mecca, I can't help but say that it's not my favorite. the portions are pretty awesome though, and they have some alright ideas if you like sweet breakfasts. this is mica eating some sort of pancake.

grill 'em all.

metallica is fucking stupid. seriously. the world would probably be a better place if cliff would have lived, and the rest of them died. but whatever. this truck, is awesome. even if the name references morons.

what the hell is photography?

is it better than cupcakes and coffee? doubtful. maybe that's why I haven't been doing it lately, so concerned with just trying to get shit in order, keep myself on the free side of sane. somehow, in the pandemonium that has been this existence, I got a hold of one of my grandfather's cameras, and shot a couple rolls. so, here you are.

hungry tiger, too.

I woke up, a couple of sundays ago, feeling a bit down. maybe it was the excessive partying the night before, who knows. but I wanted two things: breakfast, and good company. decided to go to hungry tiger too, partially because it just seemed like a great idea, and partially because arwyn was (supposed to be) working. I called up maggie, because she's some of the best company I've ever met. and so there we are. hungry tiger too, good coffee, good company, and horrible pancakes (not pictured). I guess I should have stuck with the mac and cheese, delectable. pancakes. not so much.

two near forgotten gems from bremerton.

who doesn't love corn? somehow the only good pictures I have from friends on this trip involve brendan and matt smith.
