first river trip of 2011:

my first river trip involved an amazing motorcycle ride, buds, babes, perfect weather, and the river. what more could you ask for? first roll shot with the 50mm lens for the canon, and I think I'm gonna go back to the 28mm for the next roll, I like it a lot better.

watertastical 3,2,1

I was playing in the river, with a camera. how much more fun could I have?

emilie and i at the river house of alexis wrekk:

yeah, this roll sat around for a while, as the river house pictures were from a bit back. oh well.

burnt to a crisp

ya'll remember the chinon? well, I've been trying to work it into the photorotation a bit more, with interesting results. trees. oh, and last time I didn't know exactly what kind of chinon I was rocking. CHINON 35EE picture of the model here.

alexis wrekk.

alex is brilliant and funny and witty and beautiful and kind and magical. I miss having long conversations about dumb shit on her porch, and I miss working together, and I miss getting wired on coffee at work until we decide that we're over it and start getting drunk. helluva rad lady, and I'm happy that she's in my life. total babe, too.

the bowles river house, it's magic.

alexis mentioned that her parents have a river house in southern washington. I mentioned that I had a car. the rest, as they say, it history. some brilliants:

the beach! featuring hippy and alicia

all the wild and crazy stories you've heard about hippy? some of which you've heard from me? here's the best thing you need to hear about hippy: he's one of the raddest kids in the world. not to sound like an, um, hippy, but the positive energy that comes out of andrew schrock could power a rocket, no doubt. what a fucking sweet heart. I'm so glad he came to portland, I hope he had fun.

saturday, overcast can't stop the river magics

so, we split the group for the saturday ride. half to the beautiful multnomah falls, half to barely survive the cold of the sandy river. i stayed at the river. it wasn't really that cold, and it was fun broing down, and trying to cheer up the people with the broken bikes that couldn't make it to the falls. could it be cold with this many people it? plus some overhead bridge shots.

in Corvallis, people actually swim in the willamette river. for true.
