odds and ends

so, this first one is my favorite graffiti ever, followed by my love of chain link fences, and followed by a moped. do people still like pictures of mopeds? did they ever?

believe in the power of you.

I took this picture in either a fit of optimism, or some sort of mocking of optimism, but either way, here it is. you too can believe in the power of you on belmont near the cemetery, but you might not be as lucky in the foot model department as I was.

mica + rollei part one.

I took about a trillion pictures of my girlfriend as we walked down the street. here's some that I like.

pacific coast

this sign is across the street from my house. I love the design of it so much. I think the world would be a better place if everything was this warm.

atwtr: bob's skateboard.

I totally love it. the small photo of it makes it hard to see the awesome art. click the picture to see the bigger version, it's well worth it.

dos cosmos

okay, so it's single cosmos, but that's because my photo of jen came out great. also, totally rad band. I believe they're playing a show at my house next month, you should come see it.

the bowles river house, it's magic.

alexis mentioned that her parents have a river house in southern washington. I mentioned that I had a car. the rest, as they say, it history. some brilliants:

quite possibly the best arm photo ever,

thanks vanj's tattoos!

arianna's family's land had some pretties.

the capell ep

one of these will be cropped and will be at least a digital album cover for our upcoming digital ep. I can't tell which I like better, Em votes for greeny, but redder has a spot in my heart, too. David will have to be the tie-breaker.

raffle bike, the begin

so, our moped rally is next week. we're raffling off a bike. tickets are $5, or 4 for $20. for those in the know, we're talking about a powder coated, kitted, piped, Derbi, here. for those not in the know, it wouldn't be shocking for this bike to be sold for $1,000, more in California. here's what it looked like before getting put back together, a teaser, if you will.

thoughts?

so, I want some way to keep negatives. I lose shit constantly, and I'd like to maybe one day be able to reprint the hell out of fine gems like this one. I was thinking some sort of metal box thing, or a binder with plastic sleeves that I could slide them in. photo peeps, thoughts?

that film I was telling you about, on a mountain:

blurry pictures of old slide film are artsy times 12.

waste not want not, the recycled photography awesomeness.

Em and I were talking about how she wanted to decorate her new room. I came up with a plan. and then laid out photographs that I didn't want to keep, most of which didn't make this blog. I laid them out solely based on what colors and lines were prominent, and how I thought they best looked together. I also randomly made it a 7x7 grid. It's strange, to me, that the middle row, has three of the same picture, getting darker, interspersed with two of the basic same photo, also getting darker. hwy, cincy building, hwy, cincy building, hwy, al getting darker to the bottom. also, along the bottom row, there's the brownish orange coloring in every other picture. anyway. strange stuff. totally didn't do it on purpose. I really like how it turned out (although the iphone photo didn't really do it justice) and I am thinking of doing it at my house, as well. anyway. it was a nice hour or two on a saturday.

cast aside, for sure.

things are tough all over.

VODKAGIRL

I don't write graffiti. I honestly think some of it falls in the art category, and some of it falls in the lamez category, and while I've put my fair share of stickers on public and private buildings, the actual graffiti thing was never me. however. if I ever start, I will solely be using the tag VODKA GIRL. because it's awesome. and it rolls off the tongue. say it out loud. elongate the giirl just a bit. so good. also, for some reason this reminds me of Natalia. hey there, vodka girl.
