madeline

I don't have shit for pictures of madeline. it's because she's at lawnmower university, and I don't get to see her much. but here's the short version: met madeline when I was 12. we were in honors science. fucking nerds. we'd sing beatles songs with brent zundell. at any rate, that was 18 years ago, friends. so, I guess what I'm getting at, is that whenever I start working your last nerve, whenever you start to be real irritated with all the shit I'm putting you through, just keep in mind, madeline's been dealing with that shit for eightteen fucking YEARS. anyway. here's her playing my suitcase organ on her porch. and on a side note, her dad is cooler than any dad on the planet, except maybe mine. because my dad's the coolest, even if he did one time call madeline a drug addict.

clutter, from left to right:

box filled with clothes I never wear, but cart around, i.e. shirts from blink, mr.t experience, less than jake, all from high school. comic books (that one's T.M.N.T., it was a gift). my stella acoustic, with action that makes it impossible to play, which I need to get fixed. yamaha keyboard, one key sticks, but I'm okay with it, mostly cause it's a black one, and I'm not good enough to use those. random papers. variator weights for derbi perfomar variatarrrr. shoe with holes in it, and no laces, that I wear like slippers. some books and records, not correctly put away. some boxers and other "clean" clothes that I dropped on the floor when getting other clothes out of my dresser. 1963 univox hollow body that I got when I was 17. first non-bass instrument I owned.

amazing how revealing this look into my life is, when all I was trying to do was take a snapshot of my stella. next time I move it to a less cluttered room.

the marquee's the thing.

you can't read it on either of these pics, but in big letters, high and on top, it said DUDES OF CHAOS. followed by SWIM SWAM SWUM and DEER OR THE DOE. having wonderful company, playing an amazing show, Sam/Elias showed up, with a cowboy hat on. We even found parking less than a block away, and I found a clean place downtown to take a shit. I mean, can it get any better? doubtful, friends, doubtful.

DUDES of CHAOS

these days, I'm spending most of my time dreaming of my band, and the infinite possibilities we have to be awesome. Such potential, friends. I've never been more excited about anything musically, and I owe it to these to kids. Loves of my life, no doubt. (david in his back yard)

And Em, the love of my life musically and otherwise:
