FUCK TARDED

ok, so, I got fired, which isn't really a big deal, because the job sucked, and didn't pay shit, anyway. well, okay, it paid enough to live on, mostly, so that was cool. what this means to you, is that I won't be updating this for a bit, as I am wicked broke, and have no money to develop film. I'm going to be trying to figure out how to rectify this situation, either by getting a job, or unemployment, or selling stuff, but as for now, this is it. So maybe go back and click on the old stuff. check it out. it's pretty swell. loves.

we were talking about it today, and I've known alice for about 12 trillion years by now. she's loud. she's honest. she's a good person. she's a bit crazy. she tells your secrets unless you tell her they're secrets, for realsies. if you wrote 100 ways to describe alice, and then you wrote 100 ways to describe me, I'm sure at least 70 of the descriptions for each would be comparable. we fight sometimes, but are always good about forgiving each other, and I think a lot of that has to do with us understanding each other. I mean, I don't think I'd call out a friend for a crush they have on another friend's wife in front of both that friend AND his wife, but hey, I've at least mostly let that one go. also, if you like this blog, I owe it all to alicia. were it not for her lending me a camera, we wouldn't be here. were it not for her explaining to me that c6 developed as c41 was the jam, we wouldn't be here. were it not for her taking a trillion beautiful pictures, especially her work with brighid, I wouldn't have had the drive to try and affect other people with photography, the way that she affected me. so. yeah. oh, and do I think this is the best picture I could take of alice? nope. but I've been meaning to get all sentimental for a while now, and I'm tired of putting it off. and it's not a bad picture or anything.

I currently have FIVE rolls of film that are waiting to be developed. get paid on friday, and then they're off to fred meyer. so broke I can't even think about developing them now. and I'm almost out of my wicked cheap film. like a smoker with a carton, I've blazed straight through it.

I can't wait to get off work friday, get my film, and spend hours updating this blog. hopefully I have some amazing photos. LOVES.

so, now that I'm amassing a camera collection, I was thinking that I would have them seperated into categories on my blog. I'm not really sure how to do such a thing, but I'm going to give it a shot. So here's what we have so far:

LOMO
SPECIAL MOMENTS ($.25 cent camera)
and the new Chinon that I haven't developed anything with yet, and so I have no idea what's going to happen.

I'm also thinking other categories might be nice, and assuming I can get it worked out, I'll go back and categorize all of the old pictures too.

So here's a test run. View from my window, I think it looks strangely flat, like I'm taking a picture of a model, and not of real trees. Hm.

so much flims!

so, it's been an active week. recording. erina coming to town. natalia too. the sandy river. oak's park. moped night. driving mufflers. I've developed two rolls of film (or flims, if you're swedish, and unable to get the cooking job you actually are looking for, these times are tough) in the past three days, and so there's been lots of updates. I guess what I'm really trying to say is that you should make sure you click the "older posts" button on the bottom of the page, because you'll be kicking yourself if you miss out on awesome pictures like this:

I didn't get to take any pictures today, however:

I wore a forest green shirt, brown pants, and blue shoes today. I feel that the colors, especially with their whites and blacks that accented, went incredibly well together. Just saying. Also, here's my new favorite comic book page. this is art. and literature. mixed. magic.





Also today, I realized how much I really like the album "only by the night" but kings of leon. I still think their name is horrible, though. More photography tomorrow!
