em and I went to a fancy lunch, thanks to judge joe brown.

the judge bought us three courses each, delicious asparagus and porcini mushroom soup, a steak for the lady, with pistachio encrusted mahi mahi for me, and for desert, she got some thing, and I got some coconut puff thingy. it was great. unfortunately, my celebration drink before hand got me wasted, and I felt like I was going to puke. oh well. the series of buildings are from across the street. I like the 818 font a lot.

I currently have FIVE rolls of film that are waiting to be developed. get paid on friday, and then they're off to fred meyer. so broke I can't even think about developing them now. and I'm almost out of my wicked cheap film. like a smoker with a carton, I've blazed straight through it.

I never crop photos for my blog, but if I did, it would be this one. cut just to the right of the left elbow, loose the right hand, lose the top of the mirror, lose the upper right arm in the bottom left of the photo. ah, well. maybe for something else, but there will be no digital editing here.

the capell ep

one of these will be cropped and will be at least a digital album cover for our upcoming digital ep. I can't tell which I like better, Em votes for greeny, but redder has a spot in my heart, too. David will have to be the tie-breaker.

I really do like both of these cameras, Lomo on top! when side by side, the Lomo shot looks way too dark, but if I just look at the Lomo, I like it better. eh, both pretty, the end.

raffle bike, the begin

so, our moped rally is next week. we're raffling off a bike. tickets are $5, or 4 for $20. for those in the know, we're talking about a powder coated, kitted, piped, Derbi, here. for those not in the know, it wouldn't be shocking for this bike to be sold for $1,000, more in California. here's what it looked like before getting put back together, a teaser, if you will.

I keep getting really bored at work, and therefore taking way too many pictures in an effort to keep myself entertained. Some of the results are good, some are mediocre, it's to be expected. but it's getting way too expensive, and I should really just download some books on tape or something. the top is my favorite, Gresham, then a hill that was AMAZING to moped down, between Estecada and Sandy, then a picture that I can't stop looking at because I can't tell if I like the yellow line being wonky like that, or if I hate it, and some sweet field action.

on a lot of these, I like the prints better, the color, or washed outedness comes out so much more in print. Ah well. Near Molalla, OR.

Eli is Amazing

the kid loves squirt guns. Also of note, he shot about half this roll, and I was kind of worried about paying for pictures of feet and the floor to get developed, but luckily (?), none of them came out at all. like the negatives are just blank. photography gods teaming up with the pitiful wallet god? he did take one headless shot of his dad that did come out, so credit for the one of Double does not go to me.

so, now that I'm amassing a camera collection, I was thinking that I would have them seperated into categories on my blog. I'm not really sure how to do such a thing, but I'm going to give it a shot. So here's what we have so far:

LOMO
SPECIAL MOMENTS ($.25 cent camera)
and the new Chinon that I haven't developed anything with yet, and so I have no idea what's going to happen.

I'm also thinking other categories might be nice, and assuming I can get it worked out, I'll go back and categorize all of the old pictures too.

So here's a test run. View from my window, I think it looks strangely flat, like I'm taking a picture of a model, and not of real trees. Hm.
