i just had a conversation with Joe Demaree about a boat tour, this has happened before (the conversation, not the actual tour) but it seems a bit daunting.. first we need a reliable boat large enough to accommodate a band and a crowd of at least 20 if not 50 or 2000... then we need someone who knows how to sail, or at least maintain a motor boat. then we need proper dock promotion... i mean really, how do you get kids out to the dock?
if the obstacles could be overcome, i think the boat tour is totally the way to go. how else (without being the house band a bad airport bar) could you keep your gear set up and play in a different city every night?
is this that boat for sale out off of Johnson Creek? i went there to look at it the other day and it was gone! sold? or maybe it just floated away...
ReplyDeletethis fine beauty is in oregon city, and has been for some time, according to neighbors. alleged sailing is supposed to take place NEXT year.
